An efficient route to highly strained cyclobutenes: indium-catalyzed reactions of enynals with alkynes.

چکیده
A catalytic method to synthesize the highly strained cyclobutene was developed. The reaction was believed to proceed through a formal indium-catalyzed [2+2] cycloaddition between electron-deficient enynals and various alkynes.

Ring expansion of alkynyl cyclopropanes to highly substituted cyclobutenes via a N-sulfonyl-1,2,3-triazole intermediate.
Regioselective ring expansion of alkynyl cyclopropanes to highly substituted cyclobutenes was developed. The reaction involves a copper-catalyzed cycloaddition of an alkyne with an arylsulfonyl azide and a silver-catalyzed carbene formation followed by ring expansion of a cyclopropyl carbene intermediate.
متن کاملRecent advances in transition-metal-catalyzed intermolecular carbomagnesiation and carbozincation
Carbomagnesiation and carbozincation reactions are efficient and direct routes to prepare complex and stereodefined organomagnesium and organozinc reagents. However, carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds are generally unreactive toward organomagnesium and organozinc reagents. Thus, transition metals were employed to accomplish the carbometalation involving wide varieties of substrates and reagents. R...

The coupling of coumarins with alkynes is described, which proceeds through a palladium-catalyzed cascade sequence. This process provides a new route to the synthesis of highly substituted cyclopentadiene fused chromones.
متن کاملA facile Zr-mediated multicomponent approach to arylated allylic alcohols and its application to the synthesis of highly substituted indenes and spiroindenes.
An efficient and one-pot procedure for the synthesis of arylated and stereodefined allylic alcohols has been achieved through zirconium-mediated multicomponent coupling reactions of alkynes, aldehydes (or ketones), and aryl iodides. The subsequent intramolecular Friedel-Crafts reactions of these allylic alcohols catalyzed by Brønsted or Lewis acids afford highly substituted indenes and spiroind...
متن کاملCyclobutene vs 1,3-Diene Formation in the Gold-Catalyzed Reaction of Alkynes with Alkenes: The Complete Mechanistic Picture
The intermolecular gold(I)-catalyzed reaction between arylalkynes and alkenes leads to cyclobutenes by a [2 + 2] cycloaddition, which takes place stepwise, first by formation of cyclopropyl gold(I) carbenes, followed by a ring expansion. However, 1,3-butadienes are also formed in the case of ortho-substituted arylalkynes by a metathesis-type process. The corresponding reaction of alkenes with a...
